Morales on hold?

    Morales on hold?

Why is Morales on hold for Sundays game?  It is a no brainer that he should be in the rotation to begin with.  Then again, it was a no brainer that he shouldn't have been taken out too.

Their "passive trade" of obtaining Breslow could turn out to be a great one if they now put Morales back into the rotation.  It would be the samething as trading for a starter.

How come this doesn't make obvious sense...........Becket is sore.  Fine.  Make it DEFINITE that Morales will start on Sunday.  This will give Beckett a couple of extra days to heal and he can pitch in Cooks place in the rotation a few days later.  Then put Cook into the pen.   Many times a double play grounder is what is needed for a guys coming in from the pen anyways.

But, this Sunday is the perfect chance to get Morales back into the rotation.  Why is he on hold as a "just in case".   Makes zero sense.

    Re: Morales on hold?

Cook already pitched yesterday, meaning Morales will pitch on monday.  You dont want to mess up the starting pitching rotation schedule.  But Morales can still pitch on sunday if Beckett cant pitch as an emergency starter.  And then BV would more likely need to find a starter for monday which that could be Cook.  Not looking good to have back to back 5th to 6th starters especially Boston is on a hot roll!!

I agree not only take Morales out of the rotation, but has been mainly used as a garbage time pitcher. Thje game last week was the worse as he pitched 2 innings in 6-0 . blowout, rendering him useless for rest of series.

Don't knoww if anyone has noticed that he's already pitched more innings this year than at anytime in his career. Has anyone considered that he may not be stretched out enough to be a starter?

I know, look what happened. But Bard 's problem is with his head, not his arm.
