    no way!!

I would keep the top four the same (Ellsbury, Shane, Dustin, and Papi).  If Drew keep getting hot, then he should move to #5, then goes to Gomes, Lavarnway or Salty, Napoli and Holt or Snyder

Peddie is meant more to scores runs and move runners, none better than him to hit second behind  Ellsb... papi has always been a crushing third hitter... But glad we all agree Napoli lower...I would

    platoon him...

Naps Just had an MRI on the hip and it was fine. You also CANT send Holt to AAA because hes your UI. Snyder also has to go through waivers before you can send him back to AAA. It would help if you understand the situation before you make comments like "URGENT:snyder and holt back to minors TONITE"

Top 4 stay the same. Really, either Vic or pedey could be #2, but Im staying with what theyve been doing all year. No use trying to fix whats not broke.

    5-9 would get a makeover...

5/6 - Gomes/Drew, depending on LH or RH pitcher

    7 - Naps/Carp

    8 - Salty

    9 - Bogey/WMB

I send Snyder through waivers and if he makes it through, I park him in AAA and give Bogey his 40 man spot.

Not bad, but a couple questions:

Why bat Drew 6th vs LHPs?

Why even play Gomes vs RHPs when Nava is much better?

As always, thoughtful and thorough.  I favor Gomes and Drew for the 5 slot.  I really like your rotating Nava and Victorino in the 2 slot.  You have favored Pedroia in the past for the 4 slot, and I normally would disagree.  But the point here is to give Ortiz a shot at what he calls a "pitch to hit."  He's got both Pedroia and Gomes/Carp behind him, which should help.  Drew at 6 and 8 also makes sense.

My only complaint would be Gomes, who apparently hits lefties and righties about the same.  His OPS was .826 in June, .885 in July, and is .955 in August (5 games).  I'm thinking he should be the regular leftfielder.

Historically, Gomes has been one of the leagues best hitters vs LHPs, but pretty bad vs righties. My guess is, he will return to that norm soon, or at least go back to hitting LHPs better than righties.

Forgot about nava. Replace Gomes with nava then vs RHP. and IF I had Bogey Id leave him 9th to not put any pressure on him. With salty as a LHH i didnt see a difference with Drew 6th or 7th. ID raher have Naps 7th the way hes "hitting".

7-8-9 would basically remain the same whether its Bogey or Middy or Holt. Salty/Lav 8th and naps/Carp 7th. Its between Nava/Gomes/Drew for 5th-6th depending on the pitcher.

It really depends on whether it be a LH or RH pitcher.  Nava, Gomes, Drew and Holt should be out of the lineup more often than not against leftes where we continue to struggle.  Gomes traditionally has been good in this area but this year hasn't hit lefties at all.

    Against lefties?

    Jacoby CF

    Victorino RF

    Pede 2B

    Papi, DH

    Carp LF

Napoli, 1B He only hits 243 but with very few SO’s compared to righties

    Middy or Snyder 3B

C?  Doesn't matter none of our catchers hit lefties

    SS Bogy

    Against righties

    Jacoby CF

    Victorino RF

    Pede 2B,

    Papi, DH

    Nava LF

    Carp 1B

    Salty C

    Toss up at 3B

    Drew SS
