They've pitched him up, pitched him down, gone with hard stuff, gone with soft stuff, gone with hard sliders, even pitched around him a couple of times. He's still hitting the ball and taking walks.  He might be the most disciplined batter on the team. And the most consistent, save for Ortiz.
In itself this record to this point is remarkable. Maybe he's "due" for a slump. Maybe it will turn out to be more than a slump. I wouldn't bet a lot on the latter. He looks right at the plate. If things change, I hope people will at least remember what he's doing for this team.
