Dear Kids,
If you cheat in school, you get expelled.
But if you cheat in professional sports, you just get a suspension and you can still sign a multi-million dollar deal such as Melky did with Toronto.
Be interesting to find out if Melky used the stuff after his ban.
If Melky used the stuff after his ban then it will be Toronto's problem. :)
More importantly, it will show that Melky did not learn his lesson.
If Melky is caught could be at least a season ban.

The real issue is, what percentage of cheaters actually get caught? Cheating seems to be epidemic in all areas in this country. It pays to cheat.
I agree with you.
The winner here is Oprah. She will be very busy visiting all of their homes for an interview. LOL

From NOMAAS.com:
This latest story poses a bunch of questions.
1. On the heels of hip surgery and declining health, will Arod just call it quits now after this latest public relations nightmare?
2. Can the Yankees get out of his contract?
3. Were the Yankees not aware of this when Levine & Co. inked him to another 10-year deal (somehow we doubt it)?
4. Is PED use still rampant around baseball and this Miami clinic is just one small example?
5. What do front offices truly know, and do they just ignore it?

Confirmed: Tony Bosch was no rocket scientist. In his records, he wrote: "CACIQUE/AROD" -- Alex Rodriguez's nickname right next to his name.

Am told there will be more names unearthed during MLB's investigation of Biogenesis, beyond A-Rod, Melky, B. Colon, Nelson Cruz, Gio Gonz.

probably one of the best ways to stop these players from juicing is for commissioner, owners and union to agree to dissolve remainder of contract on the spot for players found to be using. They use these drugs because they are trying to cash in on big contracts. Take that away from them if caught and they might - just might think twice. And keep them out of HOF forever. Hope I live long enough to enjoy clean professional baseball again.
and no, not singling out Arod, but it makes "genetics" hard to swallow as reason for his deteriorated hip, despite what his Dr says - because no Dr can say with certainty that these drugs did not do significant damage to his hip. also looks bad that he claimed to have stopped many years ago. hope none of the current roster for RS are caught in this latest report.

Agreed, michael. Unless or until the risk doesn't outweigh the reward, it will never stop.

Exactly. You could probably also say that that about criminal behavior in general.

A-Rod releases legal statement denying the Miami New Times report
Craig Calcaterra
Jan 29, 2013, 12:21 PM EST
Joel Sherman has gotten his hands on the statement Alex Rodriguez intends to issue shortly in response to the Miami New Times story:
âThe news report about a purported relationship between Alex Rodriguez and Anthony Bosch are not true. Alex Rodriguez was not Mr. Boschâs patient, he was never treated by him and he was never advised by him. The purported documents referenced in the story â at least as they relate to Alex Rodriguez â are not legitimate.â
This is a clear attack on the patient records released as unreliable. With this, we are left with a he-said, he-said. It will take more investigation by Major League Baseball and the DEA in order to determine what the significance is of the patient records reported on in the Miami New Times is, if any.
Like Rocket.

@TBrownYahoo: Beyond A-Rod’s statement, source says he will deny using PEDs during time frame described in New Times report.
Apparently just did them when he was young and loosie goosie.

The stuff he used was probably what caused the ban, given that the report stated Melky had his name tied between April and May.
Of course, Arod and Gio are denying it, but if you look at the list, how could you doubt it? Three of the names (Melky, Colon and Arod) have already been busted in way or another with PEDs. Assuming this is true, they Yankees just got a big out of ARod's contract.

What is he going to say? Yeah, I did it? ARod's a big cheat. We see that now that he's off the juice.
