Re: Now We're Doing PR for Boras?

I agree it was Abraham and the Globe looking to fill space.  But they took the Boras press release and printed it. (not literally, but close.)  Should have gotten two graphs, max.

It's too cozy a relationship, is all.  And a cheap way to get a story.  It cheapens the Globe, mind you, not the RS.

What's the next slow-newsday piece going to be?

"Boras: Bogaert's Future Shines Bright for Red Sox"

    or

"Boras on Bradley: Watch Out, Triple Crown"

Boras makes around 10% of each player's contract right?

No more than the Globe is doing PR for Red Sox ownership:

Totally. The press panders to the Sox and other teams because they're afraid of getting shut out. Lucchino says he's going to burp and three reporters are on the scene.  Speaking of Larry, he's the guy who brought us Bobby V last year.  But very few reporters wanted to bring that up.
