Just saw todays medical report for the team on BDC......  Papi, Batting practice & agility drills...... NO RUNNING YET !!! ........(RED FLAG ALERT, CONTINUES)

of course he isn't running yet!!!!! why would he? you have to take it slow and gradually ramp it up.....`take BP, do some agility drills, rest. does the achilles feel OK papi? good, take BP, do some drills, rest. does the achilles feel good papi? good, take BP.......

it's not hard to comprehend, there is a long time before the season starts... no need to overdo it and blow out the tendon to appease worthless fans like you..

Thank you so much, Doctor.....  (RED FLAG ALERT, CONTINUES)

i'm no doctor but i understand the human body better than you. that is a fact. What would papi gain from running? nothing. what might he lose? everything.

take it slow, be cautious, he has a lot of time before the season starts.

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- As part of the master plan to be conservative during the early weeks of Spring Training, Red Sox slugger David Ortiz isn't participating in team baserunning or conditioning drills yet. But he's doing his own agility work with the trainers and looks comfortable moving around.

"They are specific to his protocol," said manager John Farrell. "He feels not only that he's getting stronger, but with each passing day, there's less hesitancy to be a little bit more agile, a little bit more explosive. So I know that's a relative statement, but he's making good progress."

During batting practice, Ortiz certainly appeared comfortable, hitting bullets all over the field.

Do you want to bet that he doesn't play this year?

Scary that fans are in a rush to see Oriz play in ST games.

He's too important to the sucess of the team to rush him.

So, you are confident that we will soon get the "old Papi" back ?? That is a mistake to not understand the situation at hand !!!!

The old Big Papi as in last year's model? Certainly by opening day in the Bronx. And I can't seem to recall Robert Kennedy ever saying "It is what it is". Bill Belichick and Bill Parcells have both however, uttered that phrase repeatedly.

I'm confident he'll be in the lineup by Opening Day.

How he, or anyone will perform, is speculation.
