Will be walking on EGG shells till the end of ST ........   This is a "RED FLAG" for sure !!!

    I'm curious Bill...

    Which would you prefer?

That you'll be right about Ortiz not being able to play, or seeing him have a healthy and productive year?

Obviously it would be to see Ortiz have a healthy and productive year.  Just because some like to tease ortiz or to say it was a waste of time to sign  him, does not mean we want to wish him harm.

I am sure the reason the op is saying not to expect ortiz on the field, is that many have blogged that he is a decent first baseman and should play.

I would love to see ortiz have a great season but I am not going to be a homer and pretend all is fine.  The sox have not done much with him the last several seasons.  Now it seems that there is a chance that David will have another season jarred with an injury.

Thank You.......  As DAD would say..............   "SON, YOUR MAKING ALL MY POINTS" !!!!!

    U have a point?

Right on the top of his head. :-)

Bill, please do not quote that Chukka. Most of what he writes is meaningless drivel, complaining about other posters. In fact, I would advise you to put him on ignore, as I have, so the exposure to his brain dead comments is reduced.

As far as Ortiz goes, it is definitely concerning that his Achilles is still not healed after this amount of time. When did he injure it? August? Thats seven months, at least. If its not healed in that amount of time why should anyone expect that over the next month it will suddenly be all better? I do not expect him in the lineup on opening day

We will get what we get from Ortiz.  I have no expectations at this point but I do know this...Ortiz is very good at proving people wrong, he's done it before and he just may do it again this year.
