I am in too.  Though, yet again, I might have to play with auto-picks, as the draft is almost impossible for me to make.  Boohoo.  Well, computer probably will pick better than I could anyway.

Yeah, I'm going to have that same problem. I'll be near my computer and can keep the site up and might be able to peak in to make my picks. We'll see.

It's 2 a.m. in Cambodia. Burrito is listening to WEEI talk radio in his dreams.

and what exactly does that have to do with the subject???

Carnie wanted Burrito to post a link if he was here.

he asked Carnie to re-post the link....

    Post, re-post, Burrito is asleep.

I asked carnie to re-post it, not burrito. try to follow along.

Hey B, you need the league ID not the name to sign in. Could you post the original link as a message on my profile?

Re: On the Front Burner Fantasy Bbaseball

    Divisions? Nice touch, B!

I do like the idea of defensive catogories, especially for large leagues.  But let's go more than errors, so it gives legitimate reasons to actually ake defenders.  Maybe something like "Errors, Putouts, Assists and Double Plays".

    Last year, 10 x 10 was a little much.  Maybe 6 Offensive, 6 Pitching, 4 defensive?

Hitting:  BA, HR, RBI, Runs, TB and SB

Pitching: QS, CG, ERA, WHIP, Holds and Saves.   I know you like CG, although I prefer Wins.  I am flexble.

I am intrgued by adding No-hitters and Cycles.  Both are rare, and occur with the same frequency.  These categories end in a tie most weeks but give your team the bonus point when you get one.

    AS you are the Chief, those are my thoughts.  6 x 6 x 4, or 7 x 7 x 4.

And per the draft, I probably autopick, so don't worry about scheduling from my standpoint.  Hard to image sitting through a 16 team draft anyway.   I'll just set my preferences by taking out all the Yankees.

Oh, and Burrito, you are now officially in the toughest division ;)

    Putouts, assists and errors?

Just going with errors makes me want as many DHs as possible.  Fielding % does not change this.

But if you have putouts and assists, guys with no previous fantasy value like Jose Iglesias suddenly become an option.  DPs is a nice touch, too.

    Thanks and good luck.

Don't forget to amend that I.P. rule for the week. That was the cause of some serious issues last year. Also decide now on protected players if this will be a multi-year league; trading of draft picks and PTBML. Last year a bunch of us made trades and then it was decided that the league would start anew so all those trades were for naught.

Much to your chagrin, you'll find that the loudest people in here, with the biggest negative outlooks, don't join the league.  Just like in my other league, the ones that spend the winter telling us how much they know, don't feel like competing against us.

Does anyone know if any of the major whiners joined last year?
