I bet we all thought the same thing when we saw the Astros and Yanks score last night.

Sitting with the best record in the Majors at 18-7,I'm not sure they need a lot of help right now.

Any immediate help on the way from the minors? Unfortunately the answer to the question is a resounding NO!

    Jose Iglesias

has hit just .202 in 41 major league games over parts of three seasons. Despite a couple of early home runs for Triple-A Pawtucket, he remains a low-average singles hitter, who doesn’t take a lot of walks.

    Allen Webster,

pitching against Columbus on April 27, lasted only four innings, in part because of a disastrous 40-pitch first inning. Still too inconsistent.

    Matt Barnes

was trounced by the Double-A Trenton Thunder on April 26 when they ripped him for 11 hits and six runs in 4.2 innings.

    Jackie Bradley Jr.,

after collecting just three hits in 31 at-bats with the Red Sox to start the season, has a .226 BA. with Pawtucket.

    Oh no!

Red sox minor leaguers aren't hitting!

I'm guessing the team that was just shellacked by the 'Stros needs help.

But we're not talking about MiLB. Stay on subject.

    Subject:

YANKS LOSE HEAVILY TO LOWLY ASTROS.

    ASTROS RETIRE PETTITTE (Again?)

YANKEES PLAY BAD, & THEY SHOULD FEEL BAD.

Yeah. He might start again about Salty's BA. 'cause a catcher batting .240 is somehow unacceptable (?).

Correctomundo: 16 of the 32 MLB catchers with 50+ PAs are hitting .242 or less.

    Over 1/3rd are belwo .230.

    About 1/5th are below .200.

Salty is dead in the middle in catcher OPS at .759.

The Sox are 9th in catcher OPS at .777 and 16th in catcher BA at .240.

But if. You look at the catching overall the RS and NYY are the same numbers in every category.

Good morning to my good Red Sox friends on this forum. And congratulations for placing 3rd in ESPN’s weekly power rankings behind the Texas Rangers and the Atlanta Braves. In October you will at least have this memory to cherish as you watch my Yankees playing in the World Series. Let me refresh your memory: Your Red Sox haven't been to the postseason since 2009 and haven't had a playoff victory since 2008.

With Victorino injury prone you really can’t expect an outfield with Nava, a career minor leaguer, and DFA Seattle Mariner Carp plus a batting order with Gomes BA= .179,

Saltalamacchia=.239, Middlebrooks=.202, and Drew with a LOL =.146 to propel your Sox into the playoffs.

boy, you just live on your own little planet don't you?...this one perhaps.....

    My good friend moonslav59, I said "

Any immediate help on the way from the minors?"

    Not players two years away.

Why would a team with the best record in baseball need "immediate help"?

    Astros 9 Yankees 1

Now, THAT'S a team that needs immediate help!

Why stop responding? I find him sort of amusing and pathetic; sort of like a mental patient rambling on and on about nothing in particular.
