The catcher bluffed to third before throwing to second. That helped him. It was a delayed steal, and he slid about 10 feet before the bag, then tumbled onto it, losing his helmet. Lucky he didn't hurt himself, it was ugly.

hoping its not even that exam. how many times do players leave the field and think its a devastating injury to find out its not nearly as bad as first thought. hoping anyway.

That's the best all around scenario. Remember, we went through that with Pedroia last June or so. We thought he would be out, but it turned out to be nothing. I can only hope.....Meanwhile, looks like the girl singer got nervous and forgot the words...LOL
