maybe some time with our hitting coach he can change his swing to generate more pop. i mean look at ellsbury and pedey they dont look like they can put it over the fence but they have sweet swings. maybe sweeney just needs a good coach to tweak his a bit -

The little I have seen of him doesn't appear to have any bat speed. I agree...it's weird -

One thing I noticed is that he tends to lurch at the ball. The timing is off, and he's not delivering all the leverage his size gives him into one concerted motion. -

Would have been close for sure. Strong throw by Jake, especially considering Jackson Austin can really motor. -

I am listening to the Tiger announcers and am very impressed...they are not out and out homers like most and pretty much just report the game instead of cheer lead it.
