Ortiz to the Bench

For all intent and purposes, the Sox will lose Ortiz for nine games (from June 24th to July 3rd) when they play interleague games in National League ball parks. Sitting Gonzo cannot be an option. Seems so unfair to both the team and the player. -

My guess is Tito will give Gonzalez two of those six games off and go with Papi at first. But wow, we'll sure need all the sticks we can muster at Philadelphia. -

you need a pinch hitter sometime in just about every game played on a national league field. im sure neither of them would mind the rest in the middle of the season, and they're both clutch and can come thru off the bench in those big spots. win-win no matter how you deal with it. ride the hot(ter) hand.

Historically, the Sox are fine in Philly. I believe they have taken 2 of 3 the last few times there. Papi with a game or two at first would not bother me in the least. -

NL teams might cry "Unfair" when they play in Fenway and don't quite have a Big Papi they can plug in at DH. Today the Red Sox scored 16 runs without Youk in the lineup. Somehow I think they'll be fine. Bring on the NL! -

AGon's due for some rest... maybe 2 games.
As for Papi playing RF, maybe AGon would be a better choice.
Can AGon play SS? (LOL) -

Do it like this:
AGon 2 Days off on front end of 9 games and back end of 9 games
Ortiz 2 starts at 1st Pinch hit duty the other 7 games
Good spot to give AGon his first days off, but use him for pinch hitting or late innings in close games Red Sox leading for Ortiz so he won't complain about not getting a chance to play in all 162 games;) -

Papi in RF, Pedey in short RF, Ells in Right-Center? -

Ortiz would hurt himself if had to move around in the OF. Hamstring would blow out, hip flexor would get pulled, lat strain, etc. Youk, AGon and Ortiz should never set foot in the OF.

It's a joke. If they ever did play there, they'd be told to not move, just catch what comes to you. -

If Ortiz was catching Felix, his CERA would be low. If Varitek was catching Wastefield, his CERA would be high. End of CERA. -

Proof that the two board bullies feel the need to use childish invective to defend the obvious silliness of CERA.
