Beef up as many positions as possible with capable but not great "short term' solutions in hopes our young crop on the farm dictates our future success.  A decent plan if guys like Ells, Pede, Papi, Middy and good health all grace our season while we have some nice surprises from the SP's. 

I still feel we should sign a guy like Swisher for his versatilty and a couple others if this is our plan, just to make sure our lineup continues to run deeper than previous years.

Probably only if Napoli doesnt. He will cost us  our second round pick to the NYY.

actually we don't forfeit the pick to the yanks. it is dissolved and they just get a sammitch pick.

I would still advocate getting swisher even if we retain Naps..
