Panic, Panic, Panic, on a number of fronts........why?

Why is it easy to dump on:

    1. Lester after a bad start

    2.  Doubront after a bad start

    3.  Drew who is now hitting

    4.  Lackey after an injury, he is back and did a good job last time out

    5. The Ortiz bashers out there who whine about his heel

    6.  Salty who will never hit .300 , but shows power

    7.  The threads always ready to trade away key prospects for ? You name it

It is early in the season, the team is playing at a lights out level, be happy, enjoy. When I watch the game each night, I look for continued improvement, knowing that beyond this team, there is a quality farm system. I don't sit white knuckled hoping for something to complain about.

Agree with all of that...but I think it's less panic and more message board grouching, which is what message boards are generally for :)

Your list is well taken...I think I can see Doubront being the most understandable beef of the bunch, but true, he could also snap out of it. But so far has not looked so special. Maybe when his ERA gets to 7 you can take this off your whine list and on to the legit grievances list?

Cause in baseball the easiest thing to predict is failure and the hardest to cheer is success.

My favorite are the posters who want to ship a player -- especially an established veteran --  back to the minors whenever the player is in a minor slump, no matter if the player has options or not.
