    Pathetic vs. Pathetic

Red Sox and Rays are both pathetic.  The blind leading the blind.  The lost leading the lost.  The Houston Astros are a better "team" then either of them!

Is John Farrell's job in jeopardy??

Not this year, but if they pull a repeat horror show again next year I would think he would be fired. His performance this year has been pretty bad. BTW: its "pathetic vs more pathetic". The Red Sox are behind the Rays in the standings.

WE ARE ALL JUST POPPYSEEDS IN THE BAKERY OF LIFE

if you think this is bad, just wait until August 17th.  We'll be 20+ games back, on pace to lose 100 games and fighting head to head with Houston to avoid the worst record in the league.  And after losing the first 3 games at home to the Stros fans who purchased their only tickets this year back in February will be forced to fork over $500 to $1,000 to watch one of the most shameful teams in the history of the franchise.

August 17th.  put it on your calendars.  then remember where you heard it from first.

In my opinion, this failure we're seeing falls back on Epstein and apparently Cherington was schooled by Epstein. I guess we could also assign some "blame" to ownership as they control the bucks.

Again in my opinion, there is only one player on the entire RS including pitchers who is carrying his weight and that is Xander Bogaerts although Holt looks promising thus far... The signing of Drew is comical at best, as if he's some kind of super star who will save the day...

Forget Tampa, who cares for a team that does not draw fans even when inning.... Our beloved Sox are pathetic, horrible, gruesom, ghastly

Actually, this is a pretty good game.  A triple A arrival pitching 5 decent innings.  A pinch hit homer by gomes.  The Rays had a well executed hit and run.  Boggie is starting to show some anger which I like.  The next pitcher who hits Boggie better look out.

They fired Darrell Johnson halfway through the 1976 season, right after they lost the '75 series in the 9th inning of game 7.  I think that was the last time they had a 10 game losing streak as well.

The Sox FO going into the season seemed to be hoping for another "perfect storm." Highly unrealistic. There's a serious lack of talent on this team. A possible upside to the Sox being out of the division race by July is they can clean house and maybe acquire some real major league talent. The first priority is a redo of the starting pitching. Peavy is so ineffective, he would struggle in Pawtucket. Doubront has had more than enough time to prove himself and should be gone. And " day to day Clay" needs to be gone. Hey. Maybe the Sox will alternate  by winning the WS every other year and finish in last in every other year.
