Even if it hit something it still came down from about two hundred feet in the same area it would have without hitting anything.  They had time to adjust and it could have been caught.  A bad break or a bad play.  Either way it contributed mightily to the loss and Lackey can't catch a break.

OK, the forum needs a Pedroia designated basher. Call BDC in AM and volunteer to be the Pedrois basher.  We need scapegoats and to date nobody has volunteered to be the designated basher of Pedroia. Go for it.

    Just call him PIKE

Pike was being sarcastic but it obviously went over the head of many here.

The OP was meant to be sarcastic since I was previously in the gamethread which is supposedly full of RS fans watching the game on TV. Nobody but me mentioned that the ball hit the catwalk despite Remy and Orsillo talking about it for five minutes. They all were too busy blaming Lackey. On the postgame show, Eck, TC, Joe Maddon, all said that it hit the catwalk. The ball was uncatchable since it was deflected and blended in with the roof color. Arguing about whether it was Napoli's or Pedroia's call or fault is idiotic.

maybe because they didn't say it hit the cat walk

I thought they said might of

into the catwalk is a tad different

OK, I'm guilty too--of missing the sarcasm.  It was obvious too, but I just didn't see it.  Like the pop up.
