    Prospect Watch

Here's some articles on a few prospects:

    Bryan Hudson & Henry Owens:

This week's SoxProspects.com Player and Pitcher of the Week honorees hail form opposite ends of the prospect spectrum in the form of the unheralded GCL Red Sox Bryan Hudson and the highly-touted Henry Owens

Hudson, a fifteenth-round pick in this year's draft, hit .500/.550/.556 (9-for-18) in five games last week, with a double, two walks and a stolen base. On the season he is batting .300/.418/.355 (33-for-110) with six doubles in 37 games.

In his sole start of the period, August 16 at Harrisburg (Nationals) Owens worked five innings, allowing an unearned run and no hits, striking out ten while walking three and earning the win. Owens owns a combined 10-5 record in 23 starts (20 with Salem and three with Portland) with a 2.71 ERA, having allowed 36 earned runs on 74 hits over 119.2 innings, striking out 152 while walking 59, and holding opposing batters to a .176 average. He is currently the fourth-ranked prospect in the organization by SoxProspects.com.

    Re: Prospect Watch

Owens probably has 3 starts left at max.  That's only 6 starts for AA.  If he continues to dominate for the rest of the season, is there any chance he could start with Pawtucket next season along with Cecchini?
