Red Sox acquire Stan Patt for nothing and without consequences

Stan Patt was signed by the Boston Red Sox today.  Patt had been playing for Utica Club in the Human League.

The signing will have no effect on payroll, but the team will have to give up minor league prospect Toby Namedlater.

An irate fan announced in a double negative statement that he will not buy tickets and no baseball package.  Bill Ochocientosyseis (no relation to Chad Ochocinco) blamed President Barack Obama, and a disgusted Hank Williams finds Tim Wastefield and Jason Varitek culpable for the team's demise and overall declining morality due to their place as the younger siblings and sons of the 60s hedonistic generation.

Great!!!    SP-does that also stand for Stan the Starting Pitcher???
By mentioning Wake and Tek--they will probably be added to the roster as back-ups with Minor League Contracts with incentives at a $500,000 base and Tek will be given his old jersey with the lower case "c".
I hope we don't have to go that route but you know stay under the THRESHHOLD at all costs.
This must seem like an eternity for JH. Does anyone know how many years he actually owned the then Florida Marlins?

Stan Patt has huge upside similar to Ortiz only with speed.    Look for him to be a difference maker.

Put in applications now for playoff tickets before it's too late.

Ben no-likey Wake and Tek ... they are gonesville ...

The Sox still have everything they need out there waiting.

On a different note, I bet Matsuzaka comes back really strong, especially under BobbyV ... he might be good enough to sign again too.  He should be back by the AS break.

Patience ... the Sox will be a better team this year.

..but Stan Patt had a good road record this year, hits lefties better than Jake, stays healthy more than Jed, and hates potato salad..

Trade for Mark Trumbo as he is odd man out with a guy named Puljos and Morales comming back.

Trumbo is almost exclusively a firstbaseman. Too bad. The Sox really need some right handed power.

I'm having a hard time remembering all the gigantic moves the Cardinals made last off-season?  Lance Berkman?
