Red Sox are interested in Stan Patt

I'm tired of these rumor threads.  Thought we'd do a mock one.

Latest I've heard is that the Red Sox might be interested in acquiring Stan Patt.
It won't cost them any prospects.

This year is mild compared to others. Teams obviously prioritize their prospects more now than before.

BTW: Stan Patt has little mobility. Not a good fit for the panics.

According to Gammons today on WFAN, (he's on every wk with Francesa); there will be a lot of activity, but most likely no big names (except Beltran) ; the sellers in general are asking for the moon, and the buyers are turned off.

Latest rumor is the Sox are very interested in status quo. The Sox would have to give up player to be named later.

I'm borrowing from another thread, harness ... but do you think a certain someone is still mad at me because I only offered him a cookie, and not any of my donuts?

       He can't handle the donuts.

if the SOX acquire MR PATT, they can forget about winning the WS.
MR. BLUNDER must acquire a 5th starter better than WAKE or MILLER.
even for MR. BLUNDER, that shouldn't be hard to do.

Theo has no trading chips to use so Stan Patt the utility guy will have to wait until August when waiver deals are done.

I just hope they don't pull a boehner ( pronounced: bone-er, not the commonly mispronounced bay-ner), like they did with Gagne (pronounced: gag-knee) or Wily Mo Pena ( pronounced:Pain-ya).

Re: Red Sox are interested in Stan Patt

zillagod, boehner goes by bay-ner just as cheney (as in dick) goes by chee-knee not chain-knee. It's not phonetically right, it's just that depending on what state you are from, or what family tree you are from, the pronunciation takes effect.
