Wouldn't I love it if both Pedroia & Ellsbury having been inserted back in the lineup tonight & having given us 2 runs become Yankee killers---the O's too will be most appreciative !!!

Surprising to see Iglesias make that misplay...And they give Nunez a hit...

Lester pitched well tonight.  I hope he can bring that momentum towards the 2013 season.

Agree!  The game isn't over yet, but it is definitely great when the Red Sox are at least competitive.

It would be nice to see the Red Sox knock out the Yankees from winning the AL East.

Bobby Valentine looks so depressed and stressed out.  All jokes aside, I am concerned about his well-being (health wise).

Thanks Young Ben, another great pickup in Andrew Bailey, he suc#s. Another great trade. I have no confidence in Ben in fixing this disaster next year. Anybody miss Papelbon, I sur as hell do as well as Josh Reddick too. Cherrington should have been fired after Theo left, he was after all one if his disciples as well.

I have zero confidence in Cherrington next year. He could not hit water if he fell out of a boat. Watch him jerk around Cody Ross on a contract for next year.

Sox are getting even with Baltimore by playing like a bunch of clowns

slow and steady rules the day, AL. If theres is a great deal out there, make it. If not pass. No need to try and do it all in one off season.

With that short porch beckoning, closing a game at Yankee Stadium is one of the tougher things to do. Not everyone can handle it.  I have seen some of the best wilt under the pressure. Nathan and Hoffman are two.  Just looking at Bailey tonight , you could see that he was scared.  It was not at all surprising to see what happened.
