Matt Barnes ERA is 18.90. Ouch!

People here keep saying that the Sox don't like defensive SS. I don't think that is the case. They keep drafting them and signing them. Iglesias, Vinicio, Lin. I think they know Iglesias makes this team better already. They just want to see him develop more.

When we actually give a defensive SS theML  job FT, I'll believe.

Barnes may turn out to be highly overrated. He dominated in low A ball. Not nearly as effective in high A.   AA is a big test for him.

I think it's only a matter of time Moon. The value of Iglesias is obvious.

Marrero is at Salem to start the year--he may have the combination of offense and defense.

It would be interesting to have a DP combo from Arizona State---he may be fast tracked--like Bradley and Brentz and other top college draft picks because of their age, ability  and experience.

One thing is almost a guarantee. One or 2 of our young SS will be traded within the next year or 2. One or 2 will be moved off the position as well. With Bogy, Marrero, Iggy, Vinicio, and Lin. 4 of those names are already top 20 and Lin at 31. Both Lin and Vinicio are 19 and the furthest away.
