It's just the usual negative stuff Softy posts. Rarher than acknowledging the quality of this years team he's got to find the negative. Par for the course. And Softy as SSSSSHHHHIIIIIIITTTTT. Don't bother answering. I've still got you on IGNORE.

Specious. League average is not a reflection of median. OPS+ is a better assertion, but it is not enough to support such a claim. 2004 lineup was more balanced from top to bottom due to OF and IF balance. OF 2011 construction was a huge value mistake by Epstein. -

Posted by HfxsoxnutI was just going to say the same thing. The run environment was completely different in 2004. That needs to be accounted for. Nicely done! -

You must put it into a historical context the '67 Sox only scored 722 runs, but lead the league by 39. This was done in a era where the better offensive teams averaged a little over 4 runs a game. -

What the hell do you know about supporting claims? How about your claim Jacoby Ellsbury is seeing 43% more "fat city" fastballs since 2009?
You are a liar. And nobody takes a liar seriously. -

Another OP meant to stir up controversy. Why is a comparison necessary between 2004 and 2011. It never crossed my mind to make such a comparison. Do you also compare tomatos from your garden from 2004 and now? Only a Globe plant would wish to start such a thread. -
