A power hitting outfielder?  Who do you have in mind?  Easier said than done.  People keep forgetting that JBJ is batting ninth and getting paid perhaps the league minimum.  Some teams often do carry one or two great defensive players who do hit the cover off the ball.  Where the rest of the order isn't doing well, JBJ's average is more painful to take.

He still is valuable to the team, especially where Shane needs rest on a regular basis.  I doubt JBJ is going anywhere.

Bogaerts has a .748 OPS, 3rd among AL shortstops. Defense was improving, too. Be interesting to see how this affects him.

In fairness, I don't think this means Bogaerts is no longer the Sox shortstop of choice.  the issue isnt SS, its 3rd base.  He is moving over as a stop gap measure, just as hiring Drew is a stop gap measure to alleviate a positional crisis.

Don't like that idea.  He's much better off playing 3rd all the time.  He can fill in at short for a few innings here or there.
