That worked out perfectly. Bailey is likely the closer next game and it didn't even cost us this game.

Sometimes I really hate our fans. He had that O's game closed on 3 different strikes that were called for balls...that loss is completely on the ump, and yet our fans jump all over the closer. Booing him every time out isn't going to help his confidence at all and SEVERELY diminishes the strength of the bullpen.

If Hanrahan is that sensitive (the boos were not THAT loud), he definitely should be pitching back in a small market Pittsburgh-style setting...Better to learn now than later...

    Setup man: Uehara

    Closer: Bailey

Hanrahan: relief with 5+ run lead.

    sounds good to me.

farrell just got my permanent respect.. no way is tito ever doing that eo early in the season! but thats called a message as i expect to see   bailey closing very soon. wild guys should not b closers.. period! this aint pittsburgh!

Exactly! Francoma would never have made that move. He was too afraid of "losing" his players. Wonder if he will remove Hanrahan as closer now..its getting close.

They've had 5 run leads in 3 games so far this season.

i don't see the SOX having too many 5 run leads.

why isn't pedro pinch-running for nava?

because if the game goes to extra you'd rather have Nava in the lineup and OF than Ciriaco....
