Doubront's pitch count getting up there. Would like to see him get through this inning.

So who's first out of the pen? I assume Atchison is unavailable. (Then again, I could be making an ASSoutofnotyoubutME).

I said early in the season that I think he's gonna be our next hitting star.  Newest, that is.

Not power but BA and such...

Carnie, a little tidbit from Byrd's bio

      College career

Marlon played baseball at Georgia Tech. After a major injury, he transferred to Georgia Perimeter Junior College where he earned an AS Degree in Business in May 1999, while rededicating himself to baseball. The injury was to his right leg in which he sustained muscular damage and an infection which cut off the circulation to his nerves. He had to undergo three operations to correct the problem. Many doctors had wanted to amputate his right leg, but Byrd refused and underwent a two-year rehab process. During the rehab process, Byrd reached up to 300 pounds.[1]

The prognosis on Crawford didn't sound as bad as it did at first. I'm no DR., but isn't a sprain likely to allow him back sooner than the August 1 date I keep hearing?

I FORGOT ALL ABOUT tazawa, he's been lights out since he got back from injury last season.. he could be the answer to some of the bullpen issues. this team has tons of upside in that pen.. me no worry!
