[QUOTE]Good post Redsoxdirtdog. You seem to be more hopeful and optimistic than you were in recent weeks. All good points.

    Thanks House!  :)

I was getting nervous that you were gonna be one of these guys who don't let you off the hook when you voice your heartfelt concerns / (that admittedly sometimes border on b!#ching & whining:).....

Anyway.......  Thanks!  Huge fan!  I don't care who they put out there, I'm gonna be pulling for the guy!  I definitely get that any particular post, when taken in isolation, can lead some people to question your loyalty.  However, some guys on this board seem to literally lay in wait, hoping to catch someone making an honest critique, & badger them mercilessly.

You, unlike quite a number here, clearly seem to be willing to give a guy the benefit of the doubt.  THANKS! :)

Put Yaz and Rice back on the roster, they have done so much for the Red Sox.

[QUOTE]Now, corporations have a monopolizing affect on every aspect of our lives. Call it whining if you choose, but I have a valid frame of reference. And just as they rule our economy, so do they rule how fans now view the game of baseball. This is patently false. How do account that over 50% of U.S. income comes from the taxpayer, or that the average govt employee make nearly twice as much as his private counterpart. I can tell by your post that you are not a strong proponent of capitalism, you must therefore favor socialism as a means to fairness.

Tell me IKE, where does the income from tax payers come from?
Got a news flash for ya. We now live in corporate America.
Corporate America monopolizes our economy. Even those who are self-employed are somehow connected to large corporations in some way. Most every American is or has been affected. The taxes we pay are the result of that earned income.

Furthermore, I'm willing to bet your phone co., your internet service, your cable TV service, your credit cards, your electric bill, etc. are major corporations. They govern the economy. Try missing a couple of credit card payments and watch how your credit is affected - even by entities with whom you have a solid record.
    That exemplifies the monopolizing effect.

Your allusion to socialism is reflective of gov. control. The gov. allocates tax revenue. If they controlled the corporations, it would become a complete monopoly.

The landscape is corporate, which means we must succumb to corporate policy.
This largely influences our daily lives. And it also impacts Theo, who is responsible for allocating Henry's capitol.

And, yes, it affects Tito, who is responsible for staying within the guide lines of FO policy.

That was a thoughtful post redsoxdirtdog. Very optimistic.
It illustrates the importance of how roles should be inter-changing.

In addition, Tito's in-game managing should not be restricted by stat geeks in the FO. I'm not advocating managing completely by "feel". But since every game has it's own lifeblood and pulse, a manager should have free reign to tap into it when he feels it's necessary.

can someone explain to me the wisdom of Exxon reporting 11 BILLION in profits for the last quarter and yet they belong to an industry that gets an additional 4 billion in govt subsidies? Thats welfare no matter how you slice it....meanwhile we are telling teachers making 60k in Wisconsin they are the reason we are broke...we are fukked as a nation because we have become nothing more than pimps and shills for corporate pigs...

Thank God that no stat geeks in the FO are obsessed by CERA and UZR statistics. Whatever happened to those that monopolized the forum last year with their UZR Bible?

So, you think the FO departed with VMART because they chose the bats of Salty/Tek? The FO considers all criteria available, but the difference between Theo and Cashman and all their counterparts is that they choose to prioritize differently.

GEO: That's a pretty bold statement. I have to admit major corporations control government more so than they should be allowed to.

    Well, the "roles" changed tonight.
I was hoping this game would be called in the 5th frame.
Losing Josh once the game resumed was key.
