As much as I have been one of Salty's biggest supporters since mid 2012, Ross has got to be the game 6 starting catcher.

    Now, it's up to Lackey.

Ross  on Wednesday is a NO BRAINER. Salty has been terrible at the plate and atrocious fielding. ROSS IS HITTING BETTER, HAS A BETTER RAPPORT WITH HIS PITCHERS AND IS A BETTER FIELDER.

Salty does have a walk-off hit this postseason.

The throw to Middy should have been caught.

    Ross should still start.

His walk off ground ball with nobody out and a man on third through a drawn-in infield came after his pop up was dropped in foul territory.

Ross has only caught Lackey for 11 innings this year.  Granted, they were 11 good innings (2.38 ERA).

With Saltalamacchia, Lackey has a 3.06ERA in 147 innings. He also has a lower BAA with Salty than with Lackey...

Very impressed with Ross' pitch calling and overall handling of the pitchers. His offense has been a surprise. Have to stick with the hot hand.

Ross is the hot hand, but the flip side argument is that Saltalamacchia is Lackey's comfort zone as a batterymate this year.

Well, it's official, Ross it is.  Now I understand a possible game 7 may get pushed back all the way to Saturday because of weather.  I guess that would mean Lester v. Wainwright a third time!

Yeah, Ross will be in game 6. But apparently Nava will not. Gomes will play instead. Guess what Gomes is batting in the postseason (or in the WS)............. .071. Only Drew is worse, and he is not worse by much: .067. Nava is not tearing it up, but he is batting twice what Gomes is and has been a much better hitter all year. Rumor is that Gomes is playing and Nava is sitting. Thats a mistake.

Some fool in this forum relegated Lester to the #5 starter spot and even said that he should be traded away. He is still hiding under a rock somewhere. At least he got noticed and drew attention at the time and that satisfied him. Now he is the laughing stock or the poster boy of trollism. What some jerks will do to get noticed and stir the pot. What a shame. Can J-Bay do anything about that? A doctor? Too funny.

Reported. This is a record for you Pike..you have made it what-three days now? You won't be here long, with luck.

I'm for Ross catching in game 6.  I also want  Boggy and Drew playing.

Can anyone here report the new Yazzer?

Salty sealed his fate in game 3.  He won't see another inning behind the plate this series, and maybe not again in a Sox uni.
