I hope Teixiera is smart enough to keep his mouth shut, this time. He looked nervous coming up this time, he'll be shaking next

Just checked in to see that the Flops have  blown another one. This is all for the best, because it is only with thorough failure that change can occur. Last place is really best. Henry will have nowhere to hide if we finish below .500 in last place. Thats best long term for this sad team of loser bums.

Everything, believe it or not, is not the fault of the ownership, FO, manager, amd coaches. Much of the fault goes to injuries, underperformance of players, and with a broad stroke ( don't scapegoat individual players). Shoot at the Sox with a shotgun - not a rifle. Be patient, tolerant, try to act like a fan - instead of a spoiled, pouting, little boy. In other words - grow up. Stop acting like Andrew who is 60 yrs, old but acts like he is ten. Grow up.

How many, how many, how many MEATBALL home run pitches can Padilla give up in the space of two minutes before being removed?

    ANSWER: 3

    Seriously nice work.

If there is any, any, any reason we pay not one but two "pitching coaches" for this $180m baseball club, please let us all know.
i used to get nervous and excited watching yankem-sox games. not so much anymore. if the SOX don't care, why should their fans? wel, there's always next year.
    Posted by mryazz
Great point. I agree. There was a time where it just had a nail-biting atmosphere to the games. I don't care for the 4-hour marathons mind you, but the 03 ALCS was absolutely thrilling as was 04 ALCS and so many of their past reg. season games. Now? It's like any other game. Not much enthusiasm out there.

    BINGO

why not?  you turn Teix around and you were going to bring in Miller anyways if you don't get him out........BV messed up....the pen is the only reason why we treaded water the first half.  Without it, the 2nd half could be worse!
In Response to Re: Saturday Afternoon Game Thread:Red Sox at Yankees : No question. The rivalry isn't what it used to be, even going back to last year when we did better against them. It's just not the same since the Variteks and Posadas and the like are now gone.

According to Shaughnessy, the Yankee beat writers took the day off yesterday; that sums it up IMO.
