I'm going by the online radar. Not sure what they're looking at. There could be an hour or two delay, but what I'm saying is there's a large clearing after that. -

Posted by royf19I guess I shouldn't mention the 16 inning Spahn-Marichal game of '63; both CGs, won when Mays promised Marichal he'd end it with a HR (he did), and that won't happen again, barring a miraculous change in athletes & coaches, either; both ended up with around 220 pitches, and Spahn was 42 at the time (He claimed he was never the same after this game). -

After going through everything we have today, I think it'd be pretty stupid not to wait an hour or two and finish it. Unless, they think there's a chance tommorow if the forecast has changed from what they thought. I'm not sure about that though. I say stick with it and finish it tonight. You have the next day/2days off. -

I don't know what John Rish is talking about. There is light rain (about what we've had so far earlier this evening), and then nothing. The heaviest rain is in the Balt., Philly, NY area. Check the radar, you'll see what I mean. -

Yip. I'm glad they finally called me to get the right info!
Good thing though, the Patriots are not looking good so far tonight. Pretty much getting skunked early. The race at Bristol is also on tonight. -

And you know what else guys? Looking at the radar now, I wouldn't be surprised if Boston doesn't get that much rain tommorow. The double header may turn out to be unnecessary. We'll see in the morning, it may change over night. -

Not going to happen here, but imagine a situation where a home team was trailing big in the fifth. Say 10-zip. And heavy rain, due to last many hours was approaching fast.
Has a team in that position ever tried extending the opponents half of the fifth by walking batters? You couldn't be too obvious about it or the team with the big lead might start swinging at balls just to get the inning over. -
