Very soon the following people will be fired:

    1.Terry Francona, Manager
    2. Bert (Curt) Young, "Pitching Coach" 'Nuf said.
    3. Dave Magadan, Hitting Instructor* (*Not for Carl Crawford, obviously he's never hit much in the Major Leagues. Good job, Dave, what's your secret?)

We know those highly conditioned and motivated Red Sox players read these threads on their iPads down at the Marriot Grand Hyatt @ GCT tonight.

Great work guys! Best of Luck tomorrow. Don't get hurt! And please cash those checks!

    LOL.

Of all those, Curt Young is the first one I'd like to see cut. Magadan? Not sure.

Magadan. Paid to be a hitting coach. Carl Crawford was among the most powerful and feared hitters in baseball for year after year after year playing for the Rays.

Crawford comes to Boston, can't hit beyond .255. The guy has proven, Hall of Fame hitting skills and yet comes to Boston and for 6+ months our "  hitting  " coach can't help.

    Well done, Dave! You'e fired.

    LOL.

This is the worst collection of defensive players in the history of the Sox if the official scorers had any sack this team would have doubled the total of errors actually called against them. I feel for the pitching staff because they can't get out of innings due a total clusterf&%k for a defense. Between the brilliant defense and the stellar ingame managerial moves and of course outstanding shutdown bullpen it's a wonder the Sox even lost a game this season..LMAO

Re: Saturday Game Thread:Red Sox at Yankees

The futility is astonishing to watch.  Before this series I was concerned that they'd be swept given their poor play against the last-place Orioles at home.  But I hoped that the Yankees would fire them up so they'd rise to the occasion and perhaps nail down the WC.

Now I'm wondering if they'll even win another game this season.  Holding on to the WC seems impossible now, especially with Wakefield and Lackey on the hill today (shudder).
