In Response to Re: Saturday Night Lineup:JBay he was awful on Thursday Night, he had to have expected that to blow a two run lead. In response to "Re: Saturday Night Lineup":
Posted by AL34Why would he expect to close after pitching two innings on Thursday, regardless, AL?? -

Lavarnway looks lost at the plate... he swings and misses at the outside pitch every time... you would think he would get a clue... -

Six runs with two out real bad off Melancon, and Miller and Breslow. I think Cody Ross miss played a ball as well. In response to "Re: Saturday Night Lineup":WTH happened? stepped out for a few minutes come back to a 9-9 tie. this team can never score enough runs Posted by J-BAY -

The housecleaning is underway. Melancon will be gone if he cannot do the job next year. No reason to keep him.
I left when it was 9-3. No lead is safe with this pitching staff-none. Thats the essence of the problem. In 2007 when we won the WS we ranked first in ERA in the AL. Thats what it takes-great pitching. -

hi all, so what is this all about? just got in! lets see..just saw pap blow away the nats in the ninth for a non-aceves like save. yanks just lost.. if we can keep winning, could catch up technically... saw youk butcher an easy grounder on wgn.. so is this the start of the gomez era? he was 4 for 4.. oh well, the old boys look like they are fitting in with magic and showtime, lots of tee times for beckett.. gonzo just went deep tonite, he willl be fine, close to home, low key media approach!

aceves is not a guy you want on a rebuilding team.. period! he's outtta here. shaky character, just been keeping it in. melancon belongs in a pittsburgh or houston, not made for the lights. bailey's a keeper, same with miller, rich hill, tazawa, and morales (in the bullpen) and mortenson in long relief. and padilla just for going to pesky's funeral. thats enough plus all the new guys we got in the steal of the century by cherington. de la rosa is a flat out stud(in the pedro mode) and the guy allen webster is a kevin brown/ derek lowe in their prime type guy. throws a hard sinker at 95-97. de la rosa was hitting 100 pre-tommy john. ivan dejesus is at wor better nick punto of this year (a utility type mlb level guy) and jerry sands is a big bopper! one of the few legit power guys we now have to grow. he has major transferable power, just need to keep working it! -
