A very good pick up for the Braves.

Scott Downs is 2-3 with a 1.84 ERA in 43 games this year.  Left-handed hitters are hitting only .196 with a .255 OBP.

Another disappointed year for the Angels.  LOL

Ells is the perfect fit for the Angels. Too bad we won't be able to sign him but he might even be able to put some zip into that group of superstars and lead them to the playoffs. Havoc on the bases in front of Trout, Pujols, Trumbo and Hamilton, in addition to the roll players they have.

They should give us Callaspo and a current reliever, I had suggested Downs a week ago, and that was poopooed. Maybe Jepsen and a top tiered min. league hitter.

Then who do the Sox use for a leadoff hitter? Victorino?

It would be foolish to trade Ellsbury now.

Play out the season, give him a qualifying offer and get the draft pick when he leaves.
