Scutaro has often been panned here, mainly because of his shortcomings in the field, but very quietly he has raised his average to .291. Good for him. -

Lowrie is already an elite MLB SS, just ask Tom. -

Lowire's injuries are mostly psycho variety. More panic attacks in heat and normal athletic wear and tear. -

This post is about Scutaro and his recent hot hitting but someone mentioned that he also made 2 or 3 nice plays in the field recently. Thanks for the reminder. -

I liked Scutaro last year and this year. Not great, but good enough. And now he's hot. -

Scutaro has been close to great the last month. He should be out there everyday and Lowrie needs to sit. Scutaro has hit but beyond that in the clutch with great at bats. To think they almost did not hold onto him. -

he's been "mark it boot-uro" most of the year. -

Scutaro has been the biggest bargain on this team. The guy may not have the greatest range , certainly adequate. His may not have a rifle arm, adequate.
He is an excellent hitter, hardly ever chases balls out of the strike zone. Unlike K.Krawford , who chases everything.
Course all this means is that Theo won't resign the guy. Too cheap for Theo , must be something wrong with Scutaro.
Of all the Shortstops in the last ten years, with the exception of OCAB and even that is a toss up. Scutaro is the best, taking into account that Nomar was at the end of his reign , by 2002 really. -
