       Since starting 2-10.

It's the ebb and flow of a season, no matter how good or bad the MLB team is; it is like no other sport from that POV; for other wild swings this yr, check Clev, Oak, Col, Minn, Det, NYM, Sea, and Fla.

I think Belichick is a very smart guy who would readily admit that if he was a baseball manager the same ebb and flow stuff would happen to him.

    Maybe, but more likely

A Win : "Team X is a great team; we just happened to make a few more plays than they did".

A Loss : "Team X is a great team; and we just didn't make as many plays as they did".

Belichick makes talking to the press as painful for them as it is for him.

The normal peaks and valleys of a season.   Every team has holes and issues.   The main idea is not to have long losing streaks or injuries to key players.

I don't think that every move a manger makes is a good one.  That is going to the extreme other side of the Francona haters.  And I am not a Francona hater.

But last night's lineup was poor, you just cannot have two guys batting .100 in a row.  They killed rallies.  They gave the opposing pitcher the opportunity to pitch around Youk.  And hopefully, after seeing more men left on the bases, the Sox management does more today to get runs in, to manufacture a few when needed.

    Agreed,

    Fair, Agreed.

    Positively Agree.

I don't get why Tito does this from time to time.  Espescially when one loses Papi to boot.  I know he "sticks with his guys" which is admirable, but he can spread out the thin hitters, not block em all together.
