    Should the W,C, format change.

Why can't the W.C. team play a division rival if that rival has the best record in the league?

Why should the W.C. team have the same advantages as division winners (2 home games) in the Division series? I think they should only get one home game.

Just random questions from a very tired mind.

I wouldn't mind seeing the WC play the team with the best record regardless of division.

That makes too much sense. Selig would never do it.

WC teams get in by the skin of their teeth and thus are given a tougher schedule and opponent. Non-WC teams are rewarded for having a better record and are given a home field advantage for having a better record.

Any post-season series is money.  I can't see all the owners going for the possibility of only a one and done.

Many years division winners don't have better records than the Wild Card team.

If the interest was in best teams in the tournament and seating based on records MLB would play balanced schedules and the best 8 teams would be seated based on their records.

    1) Expand rosters to 26 or 27 players.
    2) Compact season with more Doubleheaders and end season in mid-September.
    3) Lengthen all series to 9 games and watch the money flow, or go to 16 teams make it and ad a whole new level to the playoffs and have 8 more cities rake in the money.
