Manager John? Do you know him personally? Show some respect and call him by his last name.

A full vote of confidence going foreward, throuh 2015. I like the way he approaches his job, and I like the way he makes adjustments and is accountable for mistakes. I like the way he doesn't overreact. I think he can handle the malcontents and butress the confidence of the players who lack confidence.

There is no denying that he's done a good job with what I consider to be a poorly constructed ship.

    I agree. Well put Softy.

I like John, but now that softy "endorsed him", I have to rethink everything.

I cant believe it. Me and softy have agreed on 3 seperate threads today.

I agree. JF has done an overall good job with what hes has. He has no problem pulling pitchers quickly and playing the guys he thinks are best and not worrying about hurting players feelings. He does what  he believes is best for the TEAM.

Out of respect for Red Sox great, Rick Ferrell, I prefer to call the current Red Sox manager "Manager John". I like it, I think he'd like it, and it reminds me of that Pet Sounds classic song.

It makes it sound like he is your boyfriend or something Rick Ferrell wasn't that great and only played a couple of seasons with the Sox. He played 18 years and only had 1600 hits. How is that even possible? Not to mention they spell their names differently.

Agree with softy about Farrell.  I don't agree with his assessment of the players, but right now it's hard to make that case because the team is in a tailspin.

I especially like Farrell pulling Lackey in the 5th last night.  Clearly, he wanted to win, but the hitter didn't come thru.  Not hitting for Gomes was a minor thing because Rodney was invincible in the 9th.

If Farrell lied about Ortiz's day off, it was the right lie and a good lie.  I believe in opsec.
