    Solarte

Guys, Yajervis Solarte is a career minor leaguer who comes to the yankees and suddenly hitting like the second coming of A-Roid.  Is it a miracle or do the yankees have some secret which helps there players perform better?

It's called a SSS.  Yes Solarte could be the second coming of Daniel Nava as a late blooming MLB regular contributor but he is more than likely a UI who is off to a hot start.  He was in the minor leagues until he was 26 for a reason.

a long time Minor leaguer doesn't take a .733 OPS and turn into a 1.017 guy.  That would make him one of the best players in the league.  He is not one of the best players in the league....if you think he is....the conversation should stop right here.

instead of trying to bait Sox fans by prentending to be a know Yankee agitator, how about you just see a young guy who just happens to be off to a good start EARLY into a long season, noone is calling him anything but a young guy playing well right now..something the Yanks need to happen, we shouldn't judge what he is or isn't until he at least has a skid of some kind..Yanks fans are just happy he's contributing in a good way.

Yes, whenever a RS player suddenly does well, such as Sizemore, it's a celebration. When a NYY does, 'something's in the water'.

How disappointing that a distinguished poster like yourself would make such an inane comment.

I can't speak for J-BAY, but "Smiley's" post is suspicious because it doesn't have enough grammatical errors.

A .396 BABIP with a 16% line drive rate is all you need to know about Solarte.  He's Pedro Ciriaco 2.0.

Not only will he not keep this hot streak up, within 24 months he will be struggling to stay on an MLB roster.

Jetes, decent glove, nice story but no one expects this guy to continue to hit like he has.
