Then, wasn't it really the "Sox beat the Angels"?

It was ex-Angel Lackey that gave up the HR.

I thought it was Tampa Bay and Miami that beat the Angels.

Lackey made one mistake that whole game. It was a brilliant performance by him. Too bad the Sox couldnt figure out Nolasco.

CC/Rays, Lackey/Angels, And although we drafted Hanley, he never played in Boston so with that said, Hanley/Marlins. all of them were in the sox system at one time, but only 1 was drafted by them, and he never played in Boston.

It was Marlins (Nolasco) beating the Angels (Lackey).

This team needed a hitter badly and Ben or Larry did not make the deal at the trade deadline. They have lost 10 games this year via being shutout. They needed a bigtime hitter in the lineup and Napoli and Carp are not it. I even think they invented some injury to Napoli last week because they want to slow his strikeout rate down before he sets a record this year.

It's not as bad as losing to the other Los Angeles team (56-71) by an identical 2-0 score on a two-run homerun by the unheralded Chris Nelson (OPS .601):

It was all luck that all our batted balls found gloves for outs. No doubt about it.
