Another wasted opportunity....Still don't understand why Drew hits any highrer than 8th. The guy has fewer RBI's than Salty in thirty more AB's. I trust Lowrie and Crawford more than Drew....

Unfortunately CMH we currently have 4 guys in the line up, who deserve to hit 8th.

The Guy was playing on house money with me through last year. He deserved it after the 07 heroics. This year it's different, like you, I'm starting to really dislike him.

MLB network is saying that play to pedey was clean. But whats the difference between that and sliding off second to break up the DP?

I felt great all weekend and was at my daughter's open house and then come home and this stud of a pitcher Matsusaka like usual attempts to give the game away to the opposition in the first inning. He is simply brutal to watch.

How can this waste pitch effectively when all he wants to do is go home to Japan.

Now I know why they skipped him against the Yankees because they would have eaten him up alive. Matsusaka is simple awful and with Lackey's issues you are down a starter and have him as your 5th starter.

Guys, the man got absolutely drilled in the middle of the chest on the first pitch of the game - and you act like got bit by a misquito, LOL. If that happened to one of us, we would be in the locker room, changing our pants. He's struggling through it, saving the BP. The real issue here, is our hitters are making an average pitcher look like Cy Young again.......bases loaded with one out in the first - nothing to show for it. It would still only be 2-0 if that dribbler didn't get through AGon and Pedroia - surprised Agon couldn't dive to keep that in the infield and prevent the run.

because they know they will be down early with dicek so they lose focus this chink needs to go home and clean up the mess over there

Great pick by Adrian! Wasn't sure Lowrie had enough arm to get Roberts especially from the left side....

My patience is wearing thin with him.
Much of the criticism over the years has been over the top, forcing me to defend him. He still plays great in the outfield. But this year, after a decent first 19 games -- decent, not great as he was batting .283 but not a lot of run production -- he's batting .170 with 1 HR and 3 RBIs.
Pedey has been much better during that span so it's hard to just single out Drew. But still ...

Why didn't they pull DiceK out soon as he got struck. He seems to be settling down though. Fooled Vlad there for a swinging strike.
Why are the bats so quiet today ? Rays have closed to within 1 run.

agreed roy, drew is a great right fielder, best since evans24.
NYY had a 5-1 lead in the 6th, burnett gave up two HR rays lead 6-5
