An interesting name at No. 41 on John Sickels' preliminary list of Top 50 hitting prospects is 21-year-old corner infielder Miles Head, whom the Red Sox traded with Josh Reddick and Raul Alcantara for Andrew Bailey and Ryan Sweeney:

By deduction, we might conclude that Sickels would rank Head the third-best hitting prospect in the Red Sox system.

One might also deduce that had Head still been with the Sox, he wouldn't be in the top 50.

To be precise, that would be speculation, not deduction. ;-)
