Yeah, Nova struck out 11 or 12, and Votto made him pay for his insolence. Last night's game said more about Reds' ineptitude w/risp than it did Pettitte's greatness. They aren't patient enough, but today did better. -

Baker almost blew it. Chapman was lights out , but he went with his closer in the 9th. Should have stayed with Aroldis. -

Yeah right, he stands out there and gives up rocket after rocket. I'm near the end with him. "Wow, it's just so unlike Jon Lester to be getting hit like this." -

Do you understand the power you have? Yell "HR" in the next Sox inning, and see what you can do. The only stuff I yell that comes true is bad stuff. -

He's just reminding us, as a former catcher himself, what a macho tough position it is. He's really praising himself. -

Does anyone wonder why Lester may be having a tougher time against the Phillies than the Mariners? McCarver seems to wonder .... -

In Response to Re: Sox vs. Philly Saturday game thread:In Response to Re: Sox vs. Philly Saturday game thread : I can't see the game, I'm forced to watch the Chicago game, but McCarver is a driveling bore, always has been. He topped it all off with the global warming idea, that there are more HR's now days because temps are rising. My response to that is two fold: 1. World temps have actually dropped since the 70's, so much for that, 2. HR's have dropped since the 00's, so much for that. Just consider the source.

Exam - Hand-on-heart, I rate you, your ideas, and your posts highly....and consider McCarver a harmless, pedestrian clown. But - regardless of one's view of the validity of the concept of "global warming".....
...is there audio/video evidence of McCarver linking the (possible) long-term global warming issue to...blokes hitting balls with bats?
....hahaha....surely not?? -
