If the Red Sox want to see if Jackie Bradley can hit major-league lefties, Cliff Lee ought to be a good indication.

Maybe, although Nava has pretty good numbers vs. CC

Wind advisories in Clearwater for 30-40 mph until later today with possible thunderstorms. So may not get to see how JBJ handles left field.

Drew should take his time.  I want the Red Sox to give the green light to Iglesias.

If he's in the lineup I'd much rather see him leading off.

Me too. Thats probably where he will be next year, so might as well see how he handles it.

Farrell on having JBJ play LF, face Cliff Lee: "It’s probably the best environment we could put him in with the remaining days in camp.”

2004 you should just edit your forest post as you find more information. That way everthing is neat and orginization and you don't have to worrying about interrupting the flow of conversation.

2 days ago the plan was to have Gomes in LF Sunday.  Anybody know why the change of plan?  I'm very glad to see that they are going with JBJ, but not sure when the change came about.  Do I have this right?  Perhaps I missed something.

Good sign that we may see JBJ in LF in 4/1 :)  I really hope this is the case!!!!  I know Gomes is not going to like it, but it is the best thing for the team.  Gomes is a sub-par LF'r, and it adds a hot bat to the lineup and GREAT D !

Farrell said this is all about being prepared for any situation.

Sounds good to me.  Prepare for the FACT that Papi will be out indefinitely, and go with the best TEAM possible.  JBJ in LF and Gomes at DH.  Gomes won't like it, but it's the best option for this team, if we have any hope of competing in this high octane AL East!  Doesn't Gomes play a little 1st base.  Perhaps letting him share time with Naps, thus getting the added benefit of preserving his hip.  Not sure about Gomes at 1st though.  Perhaps I've got that one wrong??

    From Peter Abraham:

Farrell said no matter what happens, Ellsbury's spot in the lineup is determined.

“Yes, he’s our leadoff hitter,” Farrell said.

Farrell said Drew will get his job as starting shortstop back when he's ready.

“He was signed for that reason (to be the starter),” Farrell said. “A temporary injury situation is not going to alter our course on that.

I guess not, but Ells does not seem to be the best base runner.  I'm not sure the kid is that bright????

I've always been a huge Ells fan, especially being an OSU boy, but it's time for him to wake up on the base paths!  Too many mistakes out there!  It just seems to me that he's either to slow to go, or too often thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double.  Maybe I'm just losing my patience with the kid???

Is it the wind that's making the CF camera all wonky? I'm starting to get sick.
