I was in Los Angeles for tonight's game, and it was hilarious watching the Dodgers get pounded. Never had a problem with them, but Gonzalez and Beckett just became so unlikable this season. Add in Hanley and it's tough to cheer for the Dodgers, even if I do like the new ownership group.

You must have watched the game on TV huh? The game was in Denver.

Right, but it wasn't. It's like saying my kid almost got an A in his class with his 88. Well, it's not an A, and it's not a quality start.

3 Runs in 5 1/3 IP translates to an ERA of over 5 and his WHIP was close to 2.

Lineup consisted of 5 rookies, 3 2nd year players, Carlos Gonzalez and the pitcher.

Beckett has an ERA of about 5.5 in his last 24 starts.  He's been pitching like crap for a year now.

1. How about giving up 2 runs.
2. How about giving up 1 run.
3. How about going more than 5 1/3 IP with 108 pitches
Posted by ADG
Exactly!  The fact that he had to throw 108 pitches in only 5+ innings, against that lineup, is further proof that he's DONE!

the key words being 'short of a quality start'.  He did not have a real quality start that's the fact.

But if you subtract all his poor starts, he did have some good ones this year.

I was 27 outs short of pitching a perfect game tonight. Do I get a fve year contract and a free pass?
