In Response to Re: Sunday afternoon baseball thread: Red Sox at Rays:For all the critics of Tito's use of lefty-right-lefty in the lineup, anyone notice Maddon's lineup. Damon is a lefty. Rodriguez is a righty and is batting next, despite batting .205 or so, followed by lefty Kotchman who is batting .314., including .300 against lefties. But of course we all know that Maddon is a genius.

Maddon out thinks Francona when it comes to small ball and matchups. This becomes more apparent every time we play this bunch of misfits. We are simply allowing the third best team in the AL east to play like they belong. Even guys that can't hit are motivated against our staff and should be. Most of us could probably hit guys like Lackey. -

I have no idea how Albers remains on the major league roster. Amy minor leaguer would be better. AS far as the Sox having a stopper. They dont. At the rate things are going Tampa could win the division outright and Boston and N.Y could fight for second place. -

You can't play small ball when you are not even hitting the ball. Not much thinking to do on Francona's part. -

Nothing like taking Lester out and just giving up on the game with Bowden and Albers. Rest the boys up Tito, they need their strength for when they play golf in October. This is reminding me of 1978 !!! -

Yes they do, but they suck 2 1/2 games better than the Sox at the moment. This is just so frustrating having to watch the Sox self-destruct in Tampa. -

In Response to Re: Sunday afternoon baseball thread: Red Sox at Rays:In Response to Re: Sunday afternoon baseball thread: Red Sox at Rays : Come on...he was HAND PICKED by your USELESS GM. He MUST be good, right? Just like FAT ALBERS and the rest of these LOSER BUMS. We might still back into the wild card, but we do not deserve it. This team STINKS. They turned it off in September just like they always do. I sincerely hope that the owners are just as fed up as the fans and toss EPSTINK out on his tochas.

Posted by redsoxfan94i wouldn't say they sucked this year but they have certainly blown their share of series. yeah, they look good lately but they are battling for their lives. and even if it's down to 3 1/2 - it makes the end of the season a little more interesting but we're thinking they haven't much of a shot at the WC. -

They are not even playing major league ball right now. This is simply pathetic. Unfortunately for the Sox they are finding out that money does not buy health... -

The Rays could care less about Crawford because Jennings is a much better player. -

Does a rotation with Lackey, Bedard, Miller,Wakefield, and Weiland scare the Little League Champion Team?? Scuturo just showed why he is a liability at short. Big money makers could at least "RUN THE BALL OUT'. I must have been dreaming when during Spring Training the didn't know what to do with all the PITCHING. The Ray's announcers should be required to wear their uniforms in the booth. They are the WORST HOMERS EVER. -

yea rays really won that deal, that jennings kid is better this year and is ALOT cheaper.. and the rays are a decent team with alot of energy, they play harder with alot less talent then the redsox have...wish the redsox played with that energy -

I thought the Rays announcers did wear uniforms in the booth. Unfortunately living in FL makes it a no choice when trying to watch a Rays-Sox game. They have not been kind with their words for the no-effort-this-series-Sox as they said.
