[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Sunday's Game thread:Mariners at Red Sox : I thought the inflection in his tone made him sound like he was being facetious.  Given Mikey's squeeky clean rep, I have to believe Remy was joking, and Orsillo's reaction reinforced that for me.

the first time i listen to it i thought,WTH.then listen again and thought the same joel.  Remy is sarcastic and fits his MO. an arrogent player would go home, lowell stayed with his family and again greeted the fenway faithful.

BTW, Lloyds headed to Cooperstown today.

I don't know what this means, but I noticed something interesting in the Red Sox pitching stats.

The Sox are 15th in MLB and 8th in the A.L. in ERA
but they are  4th in MLB and 2nd in he A.L. in battng average against.

Do they give up a lot of homers?  Could also be they don't give up many unearned runs.  Also, stolen bases could lead to more runs.  Finally, maybe they have a lot of 1-2-3 innings.  Interesting stat

The Sox are eighth in homers allowed. (I meant to look that up earlier.) It's sort of surprising because I thought they'd be higher because of the way they were giving up homers early.

A couple of other stats that might explain things.  2nd in the league in SB allowed and 2nd in the league in fewest DP turned.  And by far 1st in batter hit.

[QUOTE]Reddick coming back down to earth.  They are certainly going to pitch him tougher and look for weaknesses.  Up to him to adjust.  Have to wonder how long he will be in the starting lineup if he tails off.
