ERA is not a good stat for releivers. Many times they come in with 1 or 2 outs, making it easier for their batters to not score.

    WHIP is better.

ERA is the only stat concerned pitchers.  That way I can have some hope in our semi-hopeless bullpen.  WHIP cuts to the bone.

If our starters can go to just Breslow and Uehara, we should be fine.

Those two have awesome stats the second half of 2013. ERAs under 0.65 and WHIP in the God-like zone.

I think God would have a WHIP pretty close to 0.

But the good thing is that the starters have gone deeper in the month of August to September than they did in all year along.  So that should be a good news for us!!
