@DanBarbarisi: Cashman says hes worried about Teixeira - shut down for minimum two weeks - but Cash says Tex felt "pop", and that hes very concerned

That would mean at the earliest, he'd be back in time to have a week to prepare for the regular season. Most likely, he'll be out longer. Either way, he's probably not going to be ready for opening day. That means the Yankees will start the season with one player who played more than 50 games and had an OPS over .800. The lineup will likely feature Juan Rivera, Corban Joseph (in AA, AAA last year), Chris Stewart and Chris Stewart as well as projects like Youkilis, Hafner and Ichiro.

Hey, Dutchman you are ways behind the times.  Smiley reported this a long time ago.

Who will be next to go down? The oft-injured Hafner? The oft-injured Youkilis? The oft-injured Chamberlain? Maybe a member of their geriatric squad?

    I would guess cc
