Aging, and with bones brittle as plaster of paris.
Aging, and with ligaments supple as dried rubber bands.
What was the RS excuse the last 2 yrs?

Yanks w/ one of the oldest rosters in baseball have stayed relatively healthy the past few years, until last yr started to break down a bit, Mo/Pettite/Arod [No surprises here w/ amount of PED's he's taken]. Meanwhile RS have been the team snakebitten w/ injury bug, these things have a way of evening out, coud be Yanks turn to deal no excuses part of the game.
Yanks hit 240+ HR's last yr and on opening day they'll be missing 75% of those. Yankee lineup not looking too good for opening day. If some of those older pitchers breakdown as well CC/Pettite/Kuroda/Mo [Hughes already missing time w/ bulging disc in neck this spring] Yanks could be in a lot of trouble this year.

I'm amazed that Zac and NHSteven seem to lose their sense of humor, when the subject is the Yankkess...

if that was true why would you be amazed
seems like human nature
so how did you come to this false conclusion
"don't get the dumb age references
grandy and tex aren't old"
That's how.

nothing funny about age jokes when there's no merit to them

more like they have done a better job filling in the holes
but this yr doesn't look like that will be the case
they had holes & no bench B4 grandy got hurt

I thought Examiner's post were very funny.
And it's not like Tex and Granderson are fresh out of AAA

Tough break for NY.
Youk to 1B. Nunez to 3B. And move on. Worst case for them is Carlos Lee gets another job.
I agree rejoicing the injury is classless. ..

I've always disdained the Yankees, but have great respect for how they approach the business of professional baseball. From adversity comes opportunity to display character. I have not written the 2013 Yankees off, as far as playoff contenders.
Their approach is to overpay and your way to top, how can you hold that belief and hate spending.
Exploiting your competitive advantage is good business. The Yankees are a well run business.

I guess that means if I ribbed the RS U would be OK with it? And how do you know I wasn't partly ribbing back and you fell for it hook line & sinker? And how do I know there's more to your commentary than just a reflection of the comedic? It certainly seems that there is.

I guess you missed my movie thread. I wrote a script, and assigned posters to characters & famous actors. It got a big response, and resulted in others generating similar threads. I also participated and/or created other similar threads (Rubber Room, New BB Rules, Wakefield parodies); I can't help that if you missed it, or, are possibly inarticulate in your attempt to reach for sarcasm. What you should have said is:
From what I've seen, You've never displayed much of a sense of humor.
That would be more accurate.

I don't feel a bit sorry for the Yankees, but injuries aren't funny.
If saying Examiner's posts were funny is "piling on", I'm definitely not alone in the thin-skin group.
If you're interested in picking a fight today, look elsewhere.
I'm already bored. I'm not making it worse.

It's just that the "Stop picking on my Yankees" posts get old, after a while.
I know you'd be much happier if posters here simply stuck with ripping the Sox.
I'm sure that provides you with hours of entertainment.
But, occasionally, the Yankee are in the news...
