[QUOTE]Wow, the Yanks took 1/3 at home vs. Oakland.  Too bad the 22 runs can't be retroactivated to the first 2 games.  Thanks for wearing out the Oakland pen for us, Yanks.

Hopefully, Wakefield will get the win tonight.  They won't have many options for the series against us considering their implosion against the Yankees.  It definitely was very impressive to see the Yankees  break the grand slam record.

[QUOTE]Yanks did Boston a favor by putting a hurting on Oakland today.  Imagine if Oakland had swept the Yanks coming into Fenway, with the Sox coming in tired and facing 3 games in 24 hours.  Now Oakland has less confidence and fewer bullpen options available tomorrow.  If the Sox can have a great offensive outburst tomorrow, then they will have a much greater chance of sweeping the doubleheader on Sat.

Yeah, no doubt.  Worked perfectly.  stole 2 out of 3 as we won two.  And then lost momentum and their pen the day before coming to fenway.  I love it when a plan comes together.

I get in the car after work yesterday and hit the Yankee game on Sirius/XM.  Bottom five, Yankees down 7-2 one out, one on.  John Sterling says in effect - well there's a lot of game to go, a couple hits, a couple runs and the Yankes are back in it.  Boy Howdy!

And then they came "in" to fenway, and those A's got on, then "in", and on, then "in", on and "in", on and "in", and on and "in" aga"in", and aga"in", and aga"in", and then aga"in" and aga"in", etc., etc., etc.

Those A's came "in" to Fenway and put 21 baserunners on, those A's came "in" to Fenway and put up 16 hits, those A's came "in" to Fenway and plated 15 runs, all "in" one nine "in"ning game.

"In" an effort to bring some relief to their fan base, the Red Sox brought "in" Darnell McDonald. It is now forever "in" the record books that among those who pitched "in" for the Red Sox "in" that game, Cy McDonald allowed the least amount of hits to those A's "in" Fenway.

If you rema"in" "in" the honesty mode, the A's bullpen put "in" a very impressive effort.

    All "in" fun.

Baseball reliably remains a funny game even "in" these trying times.

It will be difficult for the Red Sox to win this series.  They have to win both games today.  It is difficult to win both games of a doubleheader.
