.....The More They Stay The Same

Despite hearing that the Evil Empire wants to change their sick ways of outspending all their opponents and finally get under the 2014 salary cap threshold of $189,000,000.00, we have today's news:

"Major League Baseball sent a revised accounting to the Yankees Tuesday, raising New York's payment to $19,311,642 from $18,917,994. New York is the only team to pay the luxury tax this year. The Yankees' final payroll for luxury tax purposes climbed from $222.5 million to $223.4 million. The Yankees pay at a 42.5 percent rate on the amount over the $178 million threshold."

The ONLY TEAM that was in default of the guidelines.....sort of like having The Boss still occupying the big desk,eh? Well - good thing they didn't waste all that money and went out and brought home the hardware.....wait - never mind!

    LOL what's next

U going to tell us that

    having the best record and

losing in the alcs is the same as being in last place

Well, that was the Yankee fan mantra back in the late 1990's and very early 2000's, and most defintely what they told Sox fans.   All The Time!

What happened to change all that?
